Shuffle loves: Mixmag presents The Lab

Think of an office party and it’s likely you’ll think of an awkward occasion.  Polite chat by the photocopier with Alan from Finance while sipping a warm Sauvignon Blanc and crunching a handful of stale Doritos.

Dance music magazine Mixmag appears to know no party of the sort.  Their idea of a decent after work shindig involves a collaboration with vodka aficionados Smirnoff Sound Collective, an assortment of the world’s most renowned DJs spinning the finest house music, and a glamorous location to rival none.  LA, New York, Miami, London.  Take your pick.

Mixmag presents The Lab – a weekly after work party streaming the best American and international DJs from an intimate space connected to their offices, looks like one hell of a do.  Tensnake, The Magician and Black Coffee are just a few of the names to have graced The Lab’s turntables with their presence.

Those of us not lucky enough to bag an invitation will be pleased to hear that Mixmag thoughtfully post this office party of dreams to their YouTube channel.  This means we can not only hear and appreciate the house music finery, but witness everyone there having an unbelievable time too!  Definitely one worth adding to your subscriptions.

This recent offering from NYC duo The Knocks is superb, and if anyone knows the name of the opening track,  I’d love to have that information please.
